February 2026

The lead focus this month was about how to understand why competitors are more visible in AI search results (and what to do about it).

I also cover the need to stop obsessing with numbers of website visitors and how to reduce down to RELEVANT visitors (and comparing those to levels of enquiries you get).

For those of you that have separate thank you pages that trigger when people fill out your contact forms, I provide some insights into how to achieve more with those pages.

Finally, for those who sell B2C, I cover the topic of how to ensure sending of brochures to identified home addresses is GDPR-compliant.

January 2026

To kick off the start of 2026, the first article shows you how to take all the good parts from your competitors product or service pages … and build them into your own.

Also covered are some free tools that help you keep on top of broken links within your website (and why that’s important), plus the relatively small but still useful need to have favicons set up.

Lastly, for those of you that send brochures to home addresses, I focus on the importance of the covering letter and how that contributes to getting higher conversion rates.

November 2025

This month explored the possibility of Google taking away free organic visibility while all search systems bring in paid advertising models, and the impact that would have on small businesses.

I also covered the value of using a simple method to research company brand visibility online, compared to competitors.

For those wanting to get more results from websites and marketing, I provided several tips to help with SEO, plus guidance to the tools that are important to fully analyse website visitors patterns so that beneficial changes can be made.

October 2025

With AI searches growing, I focus on how small businesses need to adapt to new search visibility.

Also focusing on adapting, I opened up access to my monthly Web Success Mastermind sessions.

Getting images and video right on your website was also covered, including how to make comparisons with competitors websites.

And for those who sell to people in their homes, there was focus on how to get printed materials right.

September 2025

Two key things missing from landing pages kill conversions so I highlight those here.

Also killing conversions is a lack of focus on impressing international website visitors that I also cover.

Most websites don’t have them but for those that do have cost calculators, I explain why my preferred strategy is method 2 instead of 1.

And for those who want to know the precise location of website visitors, I show how that can be done.

August 2025

With Google AI Mode launched in the UK, I covered how to achieve visibility in the results, followed by an exploration into how Google search results may evolve
in the next year – and how that would affect businesses.

Also covered was why businesses need a ‘Sectors’ section in their websites, which also helps with AI visibility.

And for the B2C audience, I covered the benefits of 3 x trackable QR codes included on leaflets going through
letterboxes.

July 2025

Signficant decreases in website traffic from Google organic results led to me focusing on what businesses need to ensure they are visible in AI search results.   That included focus on being viewed as experts in your field.

Also related to AI search visibility but primarily to impress the humans visiting websites, I wrote about how to position Clients very prominently, and within those sub-pages ensure that visitors are highly impressed.

For those who use Google Ads I warned about the trap of ending up being visible in the wrong places.

June 2025

Google make $Billions from wasted Google Ads clicks, and are far from being an ethical business.  I lift the lid on 13 ways that Google Ads budget is wasted – and how to avoid it.

Different contact options on a website are important and I explain why, including focus (and real examples) on how businesses lose business via contact form problems and their lack of processes to avoid such revenue losers.

May 2025

Many businesses fight against having a pricing page within their website – I make it crystal clear how that loses potential business – and how to handle pricing for any type of business.

For those interested in identifying the physical location (business or home address) of their website visitors, I showed how that can be done.

Text-heavy website pages were also covered via a handy tool that helps to break that up.

And for those websites that get prominent Google organic ranking but poor enquiry levels, I give an example of how to fix that.

April 2025

We all think we’ve got unique selling points that make our businesses better than others – but most businesses don’t present those well enough in their websites, so in this article I showed how to change that.

There are many AI search systems people can use.  In the article about Perplexity I focused on why you need to check the related and follow-up options they provide.

Thousands of people want to know what a good number of website visitors.  My article shifts thinking from that to the quality of the visitors that matter.

And for those who indulge me the occasional rant at Google’s business practices, I uncover how they actively prevent people getting the best quality of clicks from Google Ads.

March 2025

Google Ads steals your budget away and, worse: it stops you from seeing the actual phrases many people typed before clicking.  My article about other search terms raises awareness of that particular weakness within Google Ads.

I’m often surprised that people are unaware that it’s possible to get the email addresses of people within businesses, so I created an article focused on how to get those for free.

With so many tech ways to check websites are running well it’s easy to miss the most important website checker of all: humans who will pick up on many of the issues that tech doesn’t understand.

Those who know me will have experienced my insistence that all enquiries are recorded in a systematic way so that they can be linked back to sources.  My article covers this in plenty of depth.
